Set of brakes MAGURA MT5e HIGO-Closer + Discs MDR-P (203+180)

MAGURA MT5e HIGO disc brake model is a special version of the 4-piston brake suitable especially for MTB electric bikes or electric scooters with speeds up to 45km/h. MAGURA MT5e brake with HIGO-Closer cable and connector for motor disengaging during braking or light rear brake light switch on. It is great brake with a good ration between price and braking power. MAGURA MT5e brake lever body is very light thanks to unique Carbotecture® material. This brake is supplied with 3-finger aluminium lever blade with ball-end for more safety. All MAGURA MT brakes are made for MAGURA Royal Blood mineral oil. MAGURA offers a five-year leak proof guarantee for all MAGURA brake masters and brake calipers / cylinders, provided they are exclusively equipped with original MAGURA Spare Parts.

Brake lever

• brake lever body is made from unique Carbotecture® material, which is developed directly in MAGURA for their MAGURA MT brakes
• brake is supplied with 3-finger aluminium lever blade with ball-end for more safety
• lever blade have added cable with lenght 150mm and 2-pin connector
• lever blade is supplied with HIGO-Closer (NO) - it close contacts when pushing lever (pulled lever = normally open (NO) contacts = motor is running)
• sepparable handlebar clamp is made from Carbotecture® material (lever is possible to dismount without grips removal)
• handlebar clamp is possible to change for Shiftmix clamp connected Shimano or Sram tirggers (sold sepparately)
• brake lever is equiped with EBT bleeding port (Easy Bleed Technology) for easy bleeding (see video below)
• brake lever MAGURA MT5e is made for both hands - is flip-flop so you can use it on both sides of handlebars (left or right)
• lever MAGURA MT5e offers the possibility to set the distance of lever blade from handlebars with torx T25 key

Brake caliper

• 4-piston caliper MAGURA MT5e have a black closing piston bolts with grey ring covers
• caliper is equiped with magnetic Xchange pistons, so there is not necessary to put spring plate between brake pads
• supplied with rotatable hose connection
• post mount resp. PM brake mount of caliper
• caliper is supplied with MAGURA 9.P brake pads resp. model Performance
• 2-pads on each side of caliper are connected in one piece
• MAGURA Performance brake pads are great universal pads for every situation
• caliper is made from one piece of aluminium allloy, so there are not losses of brake power like on two piece caliper design
• in the package are also M6 tightening bolts for mounting on frame or fork (with torx T25 key)

Rotor

• we supply brakes MAGURA MT5 with brake rotors MAGURA MDR-P
• disc rotor MDR-P is made to lower vibration during riding on wheels with high tire pattern (perfect on 29" wheels)
• rotor have inner aluminium alloy ring which prevents vibrations and scrubbing on brake pads
• MDR-P rotor also comes with better cooling thanks to aluminium inner ring and also more steel mass, so the brake power is more stable even on steep downhills

Hose

• brake is supplied with MAGURA kevlar hydraulic hose
• lenght of whole non-shortened hose is 2200mm
• in the package you will fing all necessary parts which you will use for during hose shortening on desired lenght

Brake weight

• weight of whole brake is 275g / 1pc including full lenght of hose, without rotor and tightening M6 bolts
• weight of MDR-P 180mm disc rotor is 216g / 1pc including tightening bolts
• weight of MDR-P 180mm disc rotor is 190g / 1pc including tightening bolts
