Set of disc brakes MAGURA MT5 and discs MDR-P Center Lock 203+180mm. MAGURA MT5 brake is basic 4-piston brake for All-Mountain, Trail, and Enduro bikes. MT5 is a entry level to MAGURA 4-piston MAGURA MT brake family. It is great brake with a good ratio between price and braking power. Brake lever body is made from Carbotecture® material developed directly from MAGURA. Lever is supplied with 2-finger aluminium lever blade with a better modulation and power supply. 4-piston caliper is made from one piece of aluminium alloy and is supplied with MAGURA 9.P Performance brake pads. 2-pads on each side of caliper are connected in one piece. MAGURA Performance compound is very universal for every situation. Brake lever is made for both sides resp. flip-flop so you can use it on right or left hand.

Brake lever

brake lever body is made from unique Carbotecture® material, which is developed directly in MAGURA for their MAGURA MT brakes
brake is supplied with 2-finger aluminium lever blade
sepparable handlebar clamp is made from Carbotecture® material (lever is possible to dismount without grips removal)
handlebar clamp is possible to change for Shiftmix clamp connected Shimano or Sram tirggers (sold sepparately)
brake lever is equiped with EBT bleeding port (Easy Bleed Technology) for easy bleeding (see video below)
brake lever MAGURA MT5 is made for both hands - is flip-flop so you can use it on both sides of handlebars
lever MAGURA MT5 offers the possibility to set the distance of lever blade from handlebars with torx T25 key

Brake caliper

4-piston caliper MAGURA MT5 have a black closing piston bolts with grey ring covers
caliper is equiped with magnetic Xchange pistons, so there is not necessary to put spring plate between brake pads

we supply brakes MAGURA MT5 with brake discs MAGURA MDR-P Center Lock
disc MDR-P Center Lock is made to lower vibration during riding on wheels with high tire pattern (perfect on 29" wheels)
disc have inner aluminium alloy ring which prevents vibrations and scrubbing on brake pads
MDR-P disc also comes with better cooling thanks to aluminium inner ring and also more steel mass, so the brake power is more stable even on steep downhills
disc weight: 226g (203mm) / 211g (180mm)

Important notice!

For correct instalation please read the manual delivered with the brake!
For proper instalation of the lever is necessary to mount the brake clamp correctly - with the arrows on the clamp (pointing up). There is necessary to tight the upper bolt on clamp so it touches the brake lever body without any gap! Than tight the bottom bolt to the maximum 4Nm! There will be small gap on bottom between the clamp and brake body. Overtightening can cause damage of the brake clamp or lever body! This overtightening is not covered with the warranty!

Magura offers 5 year leak proof guarantee! MAGURA grants the FIRST BUYER a 5-year leak proof guarantee on brake masters, calipers and cylinders if the brake is mounted on a bicycle as original equipment or has been purchased from a dealer as a retrofit. The guarantee is valid for five years from the date of purchase. Registration for the 5-year leak proof guarantee is not necessary.
