Brake MAGURA MT5 PRO | 1-finger HC aluminium lever blade

MAGURA MT5 PRO disc brake edition. The MAGURA MT5 PRO model is a modified entry level 4-piston model from the MAGURA MT brake family. It is a 4-piston brake/caliper with increased braking power and better cooling compared to the 2-piston version. This brake is especially suitable for All-Mountain, Trail, Enduro but also for e-bikes and eMTB. The brake is very light thanks to the use of the unique Carbotecture® material for the lever. The MAGURA MT5 Pro brake is adapted to MAGURA Royal Blood mineral oil.

Brake lever

• the brake lever body is made of a unique Carbotecture® material developed by the MAGURA company for its MT brake series
• the brake comes with a 1-finger aluminium HC lever with excellent modulation and high power transmission
• the detachable handlebar sleeve is made of Carbotecture® material (the lever can be removed without removing the grips)
• the sleeve can be exchanged for a shiftmix to mount Shimano or Sram shifters (sold separately see below)
• lever is equipped with EBT bleed screw (Easy Bleed Technology) for easy bleeding (see video below)
• The MAGURA MT5 PRO brake lever is reversible or flip-flop, so you can use it on your left or right hand
• The MAGURA MT5 PRO lever offers the possibility of adjusting the distance of the lever from the handlebars using a 4mm inbus key

Brake caliper

• MAGURA MT5 PRO 4-piston caliper has black piston nuts with fluo yellow cover rings
• the caliper is equipped with magnetic Xchange pistons and thus there is no need to use a spacer spring between the plates
• swivel brake hose connection with torx T25 wrench
• post mount or PM mounting of the brake caliper
• the caliper is supplied with MAGURA 9.P pads or a model with Performance compound
• This is a pad model where 2 pads on each side of the caliper are joined into one
• MAGURA Performance compound is a universal organic compound for any situation
• the caliper is made of a single piece of aluminium and there is no loss of performance as with a split caliper
• M6 bolts are also included for attaching the caliper to the frame or fork (using a torx T25 wrench)

Hose

• brake is supplied with kevlar hydraulic hose
• the length of the unshortened hose is 2200mm
• parts for shortening the hose to the required length are also included

Recommended dist rotor

• MAGURA MT5 Pro brake is recommended for use with MAGURA Storm HC, MAGURA MDR-C + CL or MAGURA MDR-P discs
• Recommended for use with 160mm, 180mm, 203mm or 220mm disc diameter

Weight of brake

• weight of 1 pc brake is 250g including full length of hose, without disc and fixing M6 screws

Important information

For correct brake lever installation, read the manual supplied with each brake carefully!
To install the brake lever correctly, you must first correctly align the arrows that are stamped on the handlebar sleeve (arrows pointing upwards). The top bolt of the clamping sleeve must first be tightened so that there is no gap between the lever and the sleeve, then the bottom bolt of the sleeve can be tightened. Normally there should be a 2-3mm gap between the sleeve and lever on the bottom bolt. Do not over tighten the bolts by more than 4Nm. Overtightening the bolts or improper tightening of the top and bottom bolts may cause the clamping sleeve to break and this damage is not covered by warranty!

MAGURA guarantees a 5-year warranty against leaks! of MAGURA brakes, guaranteed to the FIRST OWNER! This warranty covers the lever and caliper if the brake is installed on the bike as an original accessory or was purchased as an additional part from an official MAGURA dealer and is equipped with original MAGURA spare parts and filled with original MAGURA Royal Blood oil. This warranty is valid for 5 years from the date of purchase. Registration is not required to confirm the validity of this 5-year warranty!
