Brake lever

• The MT TRAIL SPORT front and rear brake levers are identical, so you don't have to worry about different looks on the handlebars
• the brake lever body is made of a special MAGURA Carbotecture® material, which MAGURA has been developing for several years for its MAGURA MT and HS brakes
• MAGURA Carbotecture is a blend of medium-length carbon fibre and special high-tech polymers, which makes the MAGURA MT TRAIL SPORT lever lightweight yet very strong
• The ergonomic aluminium 1-finger MAGURA HC brake lever with a very comfortable grip delivers a large amount of stopping power
• the sleeve that holds the lever on the handlebar is also made of Carbotecture® and the lever can be removed from the handlebar without removing the grips or the shifter
• the sleeve can be replaced with a MAGURA Shiftmix for mounting Shimano or Sram shifters (sold separately) directly to the brake lever sleeve
• precision-engineered and tested hydraulic radial system, perfect operation and brake sensitivity using MAGURA Royal Blood mineral oil
• the lever is equipped with EBT Torx T25 bleed screw (Easy Bleed Technology) for easy bleeding (see video below)
• The MAGURA MT TRAIL SPORT brake lever can be adjusted to the distance of the lever from the handlebars using a 4mm inbus wrench
• the end lever can be exchanged for a special MAGURA HC-W model or MAGURA aluminium 2-finger lever (sold separately)

Brake caliper

• front brake caliper MAGURA MT TRAIL SPORT is 4-piston, black with silver decorative rings
• rear brake caliper MAGURA MT TRAIL SPORT is 2-piston, black with silver decorative rings
• the coloured caliper rings can be exchanged for another colour (sold separately)
• the caliper is equipped with magnetic Xchange pistons that hold the plates in place, eliminating the need for a spacer spring between the plates
• swivel banjo brake hose connection using a torx T25 wrench to point the caliper hose in the right direction
• Post mount or PM mounting of the brake caliper
• the front 4-piston caliper is supplied with MAGURA 9.P pads or a Performance model with two pads on one side of the caliper combined into one
• the rear 2-piston caliper is supplied with MAGURA 7.P pads or a Performance compound model
• MAGURA Performance compound is an organic all-rounder for any situation
• the caliper is made of one piece of forged aluminium and there is no loss of power as with a split caliper
• M6 bolts are also included for attaching the caliper to the frame or fork (using a torx T25 wrench)

Hose

• the brake is supplied with a 5mm diameter Kevlar hydraulic hose
• front brake is supplied with 100cm long hose
• Rear brake is supplied with 200cm long hose
• parts are also included to shorten the hose to the required length if required

Recommended brake rotor

• brakes are recommended to be combined with MAGURA STORM HC or MAGURA MDR-C or MAGURA MDR-C CL for Center Lock
• For more demanding applications with high loads, the MAGURA MDR-P or MAGURA MDR-P CL for Center Lock semi-floating discs

Weight

• front brake weight: 255g including full length hose, (without brake disc and mounting bolts)
• rear brake weight: 230g including full length of hose, (without brake disc and fixing screws)

5-year warranty against leaks

MAGURA offers a 5-year warranty on leaks! MAGURA guarantees the FIRST OWNER a 5-year warranty against leaks in the brake lever, caliper and pistons if the brake is installed on the bike as an original accessory or purchased as an additional part from an official MAGURA dealer. This warranty is valid for 5 years from the date of purchase. Registration is not required to confirm the validity of this 5 year warranty!
