Amazing rotor Magura MDR-P is made for the most demanding applications like enduro, downhill and ebikes. Bigger breaking surface of the outher ring and aluminium inner ring, which better transmits heat. The higher mass also reduces the risk of brake fading and reduces brake pad wear by 15% and brings better modulation of braking force. The weight is still very low thanks to aluminium inner ring. According to MAGURA, the new 220 mm MDR-P rotor generates around 10% more braking force than a 203 mm model and 20% more than a 180 mm model – for the same manual force.

The MDR-P is a rotor for performance-oriented riders and is ready for tough tasks ranging from downhill to e-bikes and heavy cargo bikes. Compared to the MDR-C, the two-piece rotor of the MDR-P saves weight and for the first time, it is also available in a 220 mm diameter. A special feature of the two-piece disc is the patented interlocking of the outer and inner rings, called Dovetail Interlink technology. The interlocking provides additional support for the inner ring if the outer ring expands due to heat. In contrast to floating discs, the torque is transmitted over the entire surface instead of just the rivets. The result is increased rigidity of the brake rotor and heat dissipation that is much more effective under continuous load. Thanks to this new technology, the MDR-P is the most powerful rotor in MAGURA’s portfolio, yet it still offers riders low weight and reduced vibration making it perfect for MTB Gravity use.
